Enrollment
Enrollment
Parents wishing to enroll their child in Sturgis Public Schools can do so at the school where the child will attend. Pre-school through second grade families that live outside of a school's walking radius, may enroll at any early elementary school, but final placement will be determined by our school principals.
At the time of enrollment, parents are required to present the following information:
- Birth Certificate (original County or State Certified)
- Custody papers from a court (if applicable)
- Proof of residency (driver's license, utility bill, lease, phone bill, etc.)
- Immunization record
- Transcript of grades or last report card (middle & high school students)
A listing of our schools as well as additional enrollment resources are linked below.

Our district uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with our Student Information System to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences for when and how they are notified.
ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home.
