Sturgis Service Clubs Help Fund School Projects

Sturgis Public Schools would like to thank the Eastside Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, and Exchange Club for their recent initiative to fund teacher special projects for the 2018-2019 school year. Between all of the clubs, they were able to fully fund all requests, including:


  • Positive Behavior Reward System for Eastwood Elementary
  • Class Auction for Eastwood Elementary
  • Community Garden Project for Eastwood Elementary
  • Special Education Socialization Dinner for Eastwood Elementary
  • Excelling with Phonics for Congress Elementary
  • Fun Food Friday-Cooking for Special Education for Congress Elementary
  • Boogie Boards for Wall Elementary
  • Leader in Me Winter Classroom Project for Wall Elementary
  • Auction Items for Market Economy for Eastwood Elementary
  • Pond Project Improvements for Eastwood Elementary
  • Student of the Month Pictures for Eastwood Elementary

The amount funded was approximately $2,900.00, and the initiative was spearheaded by the Sturgis Eastside Kiwanis Club.

These projects will have an immediate and positive impact on our students, and we are appreciative that so many clubs participated. What a great community we have in Sturgis!
